Emergency Plumbers
Nobody plans for the water heater to let go on Thanksgiving morning or for the sewer to back up into the tub the night before guests arrive. What you need in that moment is a real person on the phone who can tell you what to shut off, and a licensed plumber on the way with the parts to fix it. Radiant has been answering those calls in Austin and San Antonio since 1999. The phone is picked up around the clock, every day of the year, and the plumber who shows up is trained, background-checked and carrying what the common emergencies take.
What makes an emergency call go well is the same thing that makes any call go well: an honest diagnosis and a price you approve before the work starts. There are no surprise fees for nights, weekends or holidays, and Care Club members get emergency service at standard rates with no after-hours trip fee at all. We stop the immediate problem first, then explain what caused it and what a proper repair looks like, and we will tell you when a temporary fix is fine until morning and when it is not. For the specific emergencies, see burst pipes, frozen pipes, gas leaks, sewer backups and water heater repair. Or skip the reading and just call.

Is It an Emergency?
A rule of thumb: if it is putting water, sewage or gas somewhere it should not be, it is an emergency.
A burst pipe, a failed supply line or a water heater emptying itself. Shut off the main and call.
A blocked main sewer line. Stop using water in the house; every flush and load adds to what is coming up.
Leave the house, call the gas utility or 911 from outside, then call us for the repair once the service is secured.
Water at the base means the tank has failed. Rumbling, popping or a relief valve blowing off means shut it down and call.
A main line break, a frozen service line or a failed main valve. A house without water for a day is an emergency in our book.
A supply leak or an overflowing fixture upstairs. Shut off the water, keep clear of light fixtures, and get it stopped before the drywall lets go.
What We Handle
The trucks are stocked for these, so a repair can often be finished on the first visit.
How It Works
The same process as a daytime call, just faster at the front end.
We ask a few questions, tell you what to shut off or stay away from, and dispatch the nearest available plumber.
First job on arrival is containment: water off, gas secured, sewage stopped. Then we look at what actually failed.
What failed, what it takes to fix it right, and what it costs, in writing. If a temporary fix until morning is smarter, we say so.
The repair done from parts on the truck wherever possible, tested under real conditions, and backed by the Home Comfort Guarantee.
Save on the work your home needs most.
Then neither do we. Call now; a real person answers and a licensed plumber is on the way.

Anything that is actively causing damage, making the house unsafe or leaving you without a basic service. That covers water you cannot shut off, sewage coming up through a drain, any smell of gas, a water heater leaking from the tank, water coming through a ceiling, and a home with no water at all. A single slow drain, a dripping faucet or a toilet that runs is not an emergency, and we will happily book those for regular hours so you are not paying for urgency you do not need. If you are not sure which you have, call and describe it. We will tell you honestly whether it should be tonight or can wait for the morning, and what to do in the meantime.
Contain it. For a leak or burst, close the fixture’s shutoff valve if there is one, and if that does not stop it, close the main at the house or at the meter. For a sewer backup, stop running any water in the house, including the washer and dishwasher, because every drop goes toward the blockage. For a leaking water heater, close the cold water valve on top of the tank and turn off the gas or the breaker. For gas, get out and call the utility before anyone else. Then move what you can away from the water, put down towels, and if water is near a light fixture or outlet, turn off that circuit at the panel. Take a few photos for your insurer. We will walk you through any of this on the phone.
Our pricing is upfront and there are no surprise fees, including on weekends and holidays. You get the price in writing before any work starts, the same way you would on a Tuesday afternoon, and you decide whether to go ahead. Care Club members, at $9.99 a month, get 24/7 emergency service at standard rates with no after-hours trip fees at all, along with priority scheduling, no dispatch fees and 5% off repairs, which tends to pay for itself the first time something fails at night. Either way, you will not find a charge on the invoice that was not on the quote you approved.
Water at the base of the tank, yes. It usually means the tank itself has rusted through, and it will not get better; it will keep leaking until the tank is empty, and a 40- or 50-gallon tank in a garage, closet or attic can do a lot of damage on the way. Close the cold water supply valve on top of the heater, shut off the gas valve or the breaker, and call. Water from a fitting on top, the drain valve or the relief valve discharge pipe is a smaller repair, but still worth a same-day call, because a relief valve that is discharging is telling you about a pressure or temperature problem. Our water heater repair page covers what fails and why.
