Plumbing and HVAC for San Antonio, Around the Clock
Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians dispatched from our office on Wye Drive to homes across Bexar County and the surrounding cities. The price is agreed before the work starts, and it does not change on a weekend.
Two things define home service in this city: the water and the heat. San Antonio draws its water from the Edwards Aquifer through limestone, and it comes out of the tap among the hardest in Texas. That scale coats water heater elements, clogs aerators, shortens the life of dishwashers and leaves the white crust on every shower door in Bexar County. Then there is a cooling season that starts in April and does not let go until October, with Gulf humidity that makes the air conditioner work harder than the thermometer suggests. Add expansive soils that shift slabs and the pipes under them, and an occasional freeze like February 2021, and you have a housing stock that keeps plumbers and HVAC technicians busy all year.
Radiant has served San Antonio since 1999. Our office is at 10927 Wye Dr. on the northeast side, and our trucks cover the whole metro: the historic homes of Monte Vista, King William and Alamo Heights, the 1970s and 80s neighborhoods around Converse and Universal City, the big two-story subdivisions of Stone Oak, the newer builds out toward Alamo Ranch and Helotes, and the growth corridor up I-35 through Schertz, Cibolo and New Braunfels, with Boerne to the northwest and Seguin to the east. Schmidt Mechanical, a longtime San Antonio HVAC company, is now part of Radiant as well.
In San Antonio we do two trades and do them fully: plumbing, including water softeners and water heaters, and HVAC, meaning cooling, heating and indoor air. Every job runs on the same rules: a written price you approve first, honored for 72 hours, backed by the Home Comfort Guarantee, with no surprise fees on nights, weekends or holidays.
Each service is written for San Antonio water, heat and housing. Start with the one that matches your problem.
Save on the work your home needs most.
Two systems cause most of the expensive surprises in a San Antonio house: the air conditioner, which runs seven months without a break, and the plumbing, which the Edwards Aquifer works on every day. Care Club covers both for $9.99 a month: two annual HVAC tune-ups on an enrolled system, an annual whole-home plumbing safety inspection, 5% off repairs, priority service, member-exclusive deals and no dispatch fees, ever. When something fails at night or on a holiday, members get 24/7 emergency service at standard rates with no after-hours trip fee. For bigger jobs, financing through Service Finance Company is available, subject to credit approval.
Our San Antonio trucks cover Bexar County and the cities around it: Boerne and Helotes to the northwest, Converse, Universal City, Schertz and Cibolo on the northeast side, New Braunfels up the I-35 corridor, and Seguin to the east. Within San Antonio itself that means everything from the historic neighborhoods near downtown to Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch and the Medical Center area. If your town is not on that list, call anyway; we serve plenty of addresses just past the edges. Each community has its own page on our San Antonio service area listing, with notes on the homes and the calls we get there.
Our San Antonio office holds Texas Master Plumbing license M-45619 and Texas HVAC license TACLB138286E, and both numbers appear on every quote. In San Antonio we provide plumbing, drains and sewers, water heaters, water treatment, cooling, heating and indoor air quality. Electrical work is handled by our Austin office and is offered in the Austin area only. Every technician who comes to your home is licensed, trained, background-checked and bonded, and the work is covered by our Home Comfort Guarantee: an accurate quote before work begins, honored for 72 hours, with no hidden fees.
You call, a person answers, and we schedule the soonest window. Radiant is available 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays, and the price you are quoted is the same one you would get on a Tuesday afternoon; there are no surprise fees for after-hours work. During a heat wave, homes with no cooling and children, older adults or pets inside are treated as urgent. The technician diagnoses the system, shows you a written price, and starts only when you approve it. Care Club members get the same emergency response at standard rates with no dispatch fee and no after-hours trip fee.
Because the Edwards Aquifer delivers water through limestone, it arrives loaded with dissolved calcium and magnesium. Every time that water is heated, some of it drops out as scale. In a tank water heater that means a layer of sediment on the bottom that makes the tank pop and rumble, insulates the burner from the water, and eventually rusts through. In a tankless unit it coats the heat exchanger until the flow drops. In the rest of the house it clogs aerators and showerheads, shortens the life of dishwashers and washing machines, and leaves spots on everything. A water softener stops the process at the main line, and a yearly water heater flush handles what has already built up.
