I found Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning - Austin on Google. They had 14k review, 4.8 rating, and over 25 years in business.
I called and my pleasant experience began with their intake specialist Sheka. She was friendly, informative, and handled setting an appointment up for the same day.
I appreciate that they have the option of text as communication as I am often in meetings and cannot answer a call.
Paul arrived as promised and he, too, was friendly and informative. He provided transparent pricing, which was really good prices, and clear explanation of approach. He also explained what he was doing during procedure for my education.
He fixed my issue quickly and, luckily, with the least expensive option.
I asked random plumbing questions about upgrades and other plumbing concerns. He was able to speak intelligently about other services, which Radiant provided, and offered to connect me with the right team within the company.
I appreciate Radiant as a company. Employees are direct indication of a great company.
My impression and opinion is that Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning - Austin is a great company based on services rendered, sense of urgency, pricing, and employee interactions.

I’ve used Radiant for years. Had them install a new AC system 3 years ago and a new water heater 2 years ago. Recently their ability to be responsive to the needs of their loyal customers has completely disappeared. The AC system they installed 3 years ago breaks multiple times a summer (this summer 3 times so far). The first time in June I called to schedule service and they quoted me 3 weeks out - in the hottest June in Austin history….so I had to call someone else who came out the very next day. The second time they quoted me 2 weeks out and I complained and then magically a tech was available the very next day. The third time they quoted me a week out and after I complained again they basically said “kick rocks”. I called Strand Brothers immediately and I have a tech coming out tomorrow.

Their work was sub par on a huge expense (the AC system is constantly breaking) and when I call them to schedule service they quote weeks out.

Radiant has gone down hill. If you need something done that isn’t urgent and you don’t care about the quality of work then they’re your folks.

We had a clog in our toilet yesterday. Called radiant and they had Grant at our house within about 12 hours of making the call. Grant was extremely personable and professional. He explained our options to fix the clog, including the fact that we may have to replace the toilet if he wasn’t able to clear the clog. He said Radiant could provide a new toilet, but also said it would be about half the cost if I bought it myself. He said as soon as I had a replacement, if needed, to call him and he’d come right back to install it. Luckily, Grant thought outside the box and was able to clear the clog in less than 5 minutes, saving us a bunch of money on potentially having to replace the toilet. He also gave me his phone number and offered to give advice or help in the future if needed. 20/10 service from Grant.

Our tankless unit, installed on the exterior of our house, had water freeze inside it during the freak winter storm that hit Texas. The copper coils inside ruptured. I called several plumbers and Radiant was the only one that answered. They provided an over the phone consultation for $20 (a fee that was deducted from the final bill). The consultation was very helpful, diagnosed the issues, and gave instruction and support for what to do in the interim while I waited for the visit by the plumber. The entire unit needed to be replaced, which didn't surprise me as I saw the damage inside the unit. The quoted price wasn't cheap, but to get prompt service when conditions allowed combined with what I knew was going to be an exceedingly hard time to get any plumber to come in, it wasn't too far off the mark. The roads and general conditions were extremely bad for about a week. We're talking power outages, ice roads, water shortages, food shortages, etc. I received several notices that I was still on the list and they would get to me when able. I was pretty impressed they were reaching out at all considering the situation. When conditions improved enough, I was called by the dispatcher and the plumber to set up the time. Took about a week from when I called. All things considered, that's extremely prompt. Zak, the plumber that came out, was very pleasant, prompt, diligent, and clean. Very mindful of Covid precautions as well. He did a real pretty job on the pipe bending and insulation too. Good work all around. I now have running water and hot water, which from last week feels like a god given gift. I know I paid for it, but still, I got my money's worth for sure.

I am very satisfied with the customer service provided by Zak, the plumbing estimator. He made an outstanding first impression of the company. Zak is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything thoroughly during his visit to my home. Not only was he patient, but he also answered all my questions, ensuring I felt comfortable before making a decision. The best part? He followed up after the appointment to check in, which really showed his commitment to excellent service.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Paul W. and Juan R. who completed the plumbing work my home needed from Radiant Plumbing, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From the moment they arrived, their professionalism and eagerness to do a great job were evident.

Both Paul and Juan took the time to assess the plumbing issue thoroughly before diving in. They communicated clearly, explaining what needed to be done and answering all my questions with patience. Their knowledge and expertise shone through as they tackled the problem efficiently, ensuring everything was handled correctly.

Plumber Yuri Escalona and Apprentice Paul Warren were both professional and friendly. I'd say within their designations they rate "10 out of 10" each. I am following up with something but greatly appreciate Yuri's skill and timing. Despite the fact the wrong toilets were provided to Paul, though he questioned them, the fact the provider was at least an hour away, the job was done within the timeframe Yuri had specified. 9:00 a.m. through just shortly after noon. Yuri also assisted me in finding the sewer clean out in the yard - it wasn't easy to find. It was inconsistent with neighboring houses in location and style. I've used Radiant at least since 2017 in a former house and my current home. Always jobs well done. I gripe a bit about the cost of these things these days - but that's the way things go pretty much in everything. Thanks guys! Oh, I had two toilets and two shower actuators replaced, plus a determination on my garbage disposal under warranty. Yuri moved my salt for the softener for me and put some in the softener. Little things like that do a lot, just as the big jobs well done.

Fast, honest and top notch service. We were in a pinch over a problematic water heater and were offered several options with no sales pressure. Jake and Tim made us feel at ease and solved our problem with professional and courteous attention. Look no further than Radiant for your plumbing needs.

Another edit: We had a sewer blockage that needed immediate attention. Austin came out and fixed us right up. He was polite, professional and made a quick diagnosis and remedied the issue quickly. Austin is another great example of Radiant's expert staff, Thanks!

Yet another edit: Anthony came by to troubleshoot some water pressure issues and fixed it within 30 minutes. Like everyone else at radiant Anthony was professional and courteous and knew exactly what he was doing.

Yes, another edit. Shiloh paid us a visit today to help us troubleshoot some condensation on a few registers. His advice was professional and helpful. Really nice guy.

Call Radiant and ask for Jeff Hicks!! Highly recommend!! We had a small leak and couldn't find it anywhere. We called another company first and they couldn't find anything. So, we called Radiant for a second opinion, and they sent Jeff.
He showed up on time, and after listening to our concerns, he reassured us that he would try his best to help. And he did! He found the problem.
The problem was our old water heater. He installed a new one, and everything is back to normal. He's extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient! I asked a lot of questions, and he answered them all and made sure we understood what was happening. He updated us on everything he was doing and checked to make sure everything was working properly before he left. You can tell Jeff genuinely cares about his customers and the quality of his work. We're so thankful for his help! So yes, call Radiant and ask for Jeff!

Radiant saved the day when our AC went out during the hottest week of the year. We had first tried to work with our home warranty company and couldn't even get someone out here to look at it. (Please learn from our mistake and don't go for the home warranty plan. It's a waste). After a week and a half without AC, we were desperate and called Radiant. They were able to send someone over the next morning, and install a new system the day after that. In total it took 2 days to get back to a livable home. We were amazed and grateful! Bryan and Jacob were the most knowledgeable and sincere guys. They made sure that we understood our current unit's problem, and gave us different plans to move forward. They seemed to genuinely care about our situation and did all that they could to ensure we were getting the help we needed. The guys who came out to install were also super nice and really efficient. Afterwards they left not a spec of dust. Like no one was here but we magically got a working AC unit. When they say 5 star service they mean it. They were our guardian angels, I am so grateful!

We chose Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning to fix a plumbing issue that entailed a significant amount of work replacing our grinder pump, the basin, and the electrical box. The old equipment had been patched over multiple decades so it was better to install new equipment. Marcel Lavallee, and Matt Ford took the lead. They diagnosed the issues, provided us with several alternatives, some using the old equipment, some replacing it. We decided to go with a new system and upgrades. It was a multiple day job. The entire team worked daily and installed the new equipment. After the installation, Marcel and Matt walked us through the equipment, answering a lot of questions about how everything worked. It's been installed for a few days now, and everything is working perfectly. We're very happy with the team, and this company.

08/30/2024 Updated for great AC work. Our AC failed, dead stop, in the hot Texas summer. We called Radiant for our AC because they previously did such a good plumbing job, see above. Our HVAC technician Gilberto Gomez was awesome! He quickly diagnosed the problem. He had some of the parts and needed to order one part. He returned as soon as they received it a couple of days later. It's fixed now and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

Radiant Plumbing did a major plumbing job for us. We are very happy with the results and the relief of knowing we will not have to face constant repairs every 2 years as we had been. Marcel Lavallee and Matt Ford were the two who installed and replaced our old grinder pump system. They both did a phenomenal job, and I can't say enough. Marcel's expertise and years of experience with the system, along with Matt Ford doing the phenomenal job they both did. They are extremely knowledgeable, prompt, professional, and courteous. I would very highly recommend Radiant Plumbing for any plumbing need you might have.

8/30/24 - Another Great Job for us by Radiant Plumbing and Air-conditioning.
Our AC stopped working during the hot Austin Texas, heat. We called Radiant to the rescue and HVAC Service technician Gilberto Gomez came out. He was fast, efficient and supportive from the first phone call, diagnosing the issue, getting the part in very fast, doing the actual repair and getting us back up and cooled off in just a couple of days, because the part had to be ordered. Very happy with the service, and work done and would highly recommend Radiant Plumbing and Air-conditioning.

Like many others during this crazy Texas winter storm, we had pipes burst causing interior flooding and resulting in no water for days. Radiant was very quick to respond. It started with JR stopping by after working on a neighbors house to assess the damage. It was too late to start work but promised we would be taken care of first thing the next day and we were. As soon as roads were drivable, Isaac M. was sent and he was fabulous. I've never seen someone as thorough and knowledgable at their craft. Not only did he complete a fantastic job, he explained everything as he went. He clearly stated the problem, what caused the problem, and how he was going to fix it. He was on the job 7-8 hours but did not leave until all leaks were repaired and we had water. We cannot thank Radiant, and especially Isaac, for their very professional and outstanding service during these trying times. I highly recommend Radiant for any plumbing needs.
P.S. Isaac deserves a promotion!

Service very fast, and very professional. We called on a monday, and we had a brand new HVAC system by end of day Tuesday. They came out quickly to evaluate our problem, and gave us several different options to select from, and explained each option thoroughly. Their communication felt honest, and as a VERY handy guy myself, everything they communicated made perfect sense regarding the issue we had as well as the various solution options they suggested. The price is a little high, but you can tell they are professionals who really know what they are doing. When it comes to HVAC, this is like buying a car. You get what you pay for, and if you want a good system that lasts a long time, you need to make sure your HVAC installers know what they are doing, and back up their work. Id recommend these guys to anyone who is looking to have quality work done and willing to pay for quality work.

Honestly, just an overall good service. I had 2 other HVAC companies come out and try to see what was going on that ultimately left my central AC unit completely broken. John Murphy came out and went over every single square inch of my HVAC system, found what was going on and did his absolute best to at least ensure I had air blowing even though the AC unit was struggling. His work was the reason I got me through for a few days.

Then Raymond Kendrick came out to discuss AC unit options and I told him very directly that this was a very unexpected cost, and so I had to stay within a certain budget. It only took about a minute or two for Raymond to figure out how to get me under my budget for the new AC unit, and then a day later they’re coming to install it.

This company stayed in contact with me every single step of the way letting me know exactly what was going on. I’ve been working with personal contractors to renovate my properties for years that don’t give me that level of service.

Thank you, Radiant team! You guys absolutely killed it.

Trane 2-Stage Unit Install 5-Star Service
We replaced our 24 year old Lennox unit yesterday which while not completely failing was clogging up with rust in the drains, low on very expensive Freon, and just tired and inefficient. A repairman, Shiloh, came out the previous week, to drain the clogged pans, and took pictures of what he was cleaning out of the condenser pan, why it was clogging up the drains, how it was low on Freon, rusty coils, etc. We requested a sales technician come give us some options of installing a new unit. I believe Radiant can sell and install almost any brand. After reviewing several options and brands, Matt, the sales professional, thought we would be happiest with the Trane 2-Stage unit with the air quality and purification package (after seeing me sneeze and sniffle with allergies. The air purification has ionizers, HEPA filters, etc to purify the air before distribution into the ducts. I had 3 2-stage units (Lennox) at a previous house and was always amazed at how low our utility bills were. The day after the sales rep came (good timing), a crew showed up the next morning around 8:30 and put down drop clothes where they would be working and began replacing our unit. The crew, Ashton and L. B., Were very respectful of our furnishings and space. After they started, the warmest it ever got inside the house was about 82 degrees, start to finish.
They arrived on time and finished up by 3 as the house started cooling down. Ashton then explained the different aspects of the thermostat and how to communicate with Bluetooth if we desired. He also sent pictures of the entire install with notes about how to maintain it. So far we are very pleased with the level of service and professionalism demonstrated by these guys and yes I would definitely recommend them.

Very happy with this company. Got my new A/C installed a few years ago from them. It’s had minor hiccups here and there mainly water lines backing up to the unit due to the houses poor ventilation and age in addition to mold and algae build up from Texas water.

Gilberto came out for maintenance and gave me full diagnostics in a very quick and efficient manner and explained everything in very understandable and full detail with pictures to show and back up his findings and he did all of this very quickly in a matter of minutes.

That’s exactly the kind of service I love. Quick, efficient and extremely knowledgeable.

Now I know exactly what needs to be repaired in the future and the cost. I’m more than willing to return. I even signed up for the customer care plan which also covers perks and maintenance for lower cost in the future.

This company is above and beyond in customer service and client loyalty. It’s rare, and Gilberto reflects on this company in a great way. Exemplary employee.

Daniel Sicilia came to fix my AC and was met with blockage in the unit. Luckily, he had great knowledge and not only repaired the mess but taught me what I needed to do to maintain the system. He was very kind and respectful.

Jeff and his partner whose name I can't remember showed up on time, and they were both very respectful. I explained my issue with the toilet, but they didn't just grab a new one and drive off. They thoroughly checked the water heater (which was leaking like crazy), checked the water pressure (insane), and examined the water softener (a mess). They all needed to be replaced. They provided me options and even set me up with a payment plan. Luckily, all worked out.

Javier came over in a very respectful manner. I had previously scheduled the appointment and then had updates on the arrival time. He checked my unit outside, checked my inside part and assessed other parts. Quickly fixed one part, advised me on future things I could do, and then left. He also followed distance protocol. It was great.

I could not be more pleased with Radiant. A couple of years ago they did extensive work replacing old galvanized piping outside.
Today, they replaced two air conditioning units and my opinion of the company only increased.
Through the whole process of scheduling, diagnosing my problem, offering options, offering equipment choices, and installation, Radiant excelled.
Each stage of the process was thoroughly explained without any pressure tactics. Everyone I met or spoke to were true professionals who were genuinely concerned with getting me the most appropriate equipment within my budget.
I’ve got to recognize the two men who performed the installation, Arturo and Rene. How these two were able to install and get operating two new complete units in my 70 year old home within a day astounded me. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and accommodating. And trustworthy.
Radiant, you need to hang on to these two men! They are true assets of the company.

Incredible service! Our AC technician Daniel was one of the most helpful Radiant staff members to service our property over the years (this is not to say, we have not received good service in the past, but that Daniel went above and beyond). We appreciated that he was patient and willing to explain how things worked (and didn’t work) making it easier for us to understand the repairs that needed to happen. Daniel was incredibly nice, efficient, and such a trooper - he spent hours and hours roasting in our Texas attic to replace broken dampers on our AC unit.

Radiant needs to do whatever is necessary to keep employees like Daniel around in order to uphold their reputation for excellence.

Daniel, if you are reading this, we appreciate your craftsmanship and wish you all the best. While we hope we don’t need your services anytime soon, if we do, we will know who to call.

We had a French drain that stopped working after our last roof and gutter replacement. I figured the problem was built up leaves and roof runoff and tried to clear it out myself, but after a couple of days of no success, I called Radiant.

Matt came out and offered three different approaches to fixing the problem. I chose the least expensive (the blaster), but after working for an hour, that wasn't clearing the drain, so we moved on to the next approach (the cable). That sort of fixed the problem -- we got flow thru the drain, but neither of us could explain how or why.

So this morning, Kyle came out and used a camera to examine the entire length of the drain. Sixty feet down the drain, it is collapsed and blocked by probably a root! I know exactly where and can fix it myself, now that I know what the problem is and where it is. An amazing job by true professionals!

They understood my problem, knew what to do, and did it! It cost more than I would have hoped, but given what they did and what they found, well worth it.

I got to work with one of my favorite techs, Oscar, today. I’m always impressed with how much Radiant employees their business. Their recommendations are spot-on, they have great documentation and really good reasoning for why they have that opinion.

They are pricier than others - no doubt. They charge top of the range on most things. But I don’t have to worry if I’m getting sold something I don’t need in the opinion of the tech (most of these guys are hilariously bad sales people).

The only truly bad experience I’ve had with Radiant was for a hot water heater replacement. They were more than double (2x) the price of the other company we requested a quote from, for the same unit, and couldn’t explain to me why.

Unfortunately, that had me doing more price checking on them than I used to do. I know that convenience and responsiveness come at a cost, and I’m happy to pay 15-20% more for great service. But more than that is too much for me to feel good about.

We recently moved into a new home and immediately noticed a wet spot on the brick. Radiant came out and found two problems, a leak in the wall from a bad plumbing job from a different company, and a very bad belly sewer pipe under the house. We were so thankful for their assistance during a very difficult time. I want to give kudos to JR, Jonathan, and Matt for their expertise and guidance along the way. During a stressful time they were very calm and helped us navigate next steps. They were available to us whenever we needed them, even after hours during repairs.

Also, to wrap up and correct a huge drywall hole from a plumbing repair, Tim Ferguson (aka Tim the Tool Man) saved the day! He was meticulous about his work and making sure the texture was perfect. He was clean and sealed everything up before starting work. He was so kind and walked me through all the steps he was taking. My wall looks better than it did before!

Thank you Radiant. Experts in plumbing, and will definitely recommend. We hope we don’t need you for a long time but we know who to call!

I had used Radiant in the past so they had my information in their records. I was able to geta plumber the very next day (which was a Friday). Jason Repman and another young man came out and immediately set to work. In a relatively short amount of time, they had the drain cleared. They charged much less than the other company I called on another plumbing issue.
I was able to take advantage of an online coupon and saved $69 on this call.
Both men were respectful, courteous and very professional. I can highly recommend both of these technicians. I actually needed to reach out to Radiant again on Monday as my dish washer refused to drain. Jason came back and spent time trying to resolve the issue. I ended up having to call the manufacturer as it turned out to be a problem with the machine itself.
That was only after Jason spent some time reviewing the manual, everything under the sink and under the dishwasher. He was the same, upbeat and professional. I am happy to recommend both Jason and Radiant as completely reliable and dependable.
In fact, I will be cancelling the standing contract I have with another company and switching to Radiant as their prices are more reasonable and their Care Club includes more services for less money than I am paying now. What I also like is that this company can also do AC/Heating/Plumbing checkups for one monthly charge.

Our technician Christian was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and friendly! He was very thorough in his diagnosis of our tankless water heater . He spent the extra time to explain the how and why for every step he took in his troubleshooting process and how the water heater operated. Even though he wasn’t able to repair it, due to replacement parts, he did offer solutions and also to repair or install a new water heater if we chose to. All in all I was very satisfied with the service not only because Christin was very good at his job but because the water heater was on our food trailer. All the other plumbing companies I called refused to come out when they were told it was a food trailer, but Radiant and Christian did! So thank you Radiant and Christian for your time and fine service! We will definitely be calling you for future needs!
