This was my first time having them come over to fix my AC and it was a great experience. The company provides outstanding customer service and are very professional. I like the fact that I get a phone call approximately 30 minutes from the technician’s arrival time AND a text message with a picture of the tech along with their biography. It is such a unique experience and I love it. Our tech Jose Aranda was amazing too. We explained our situation and he identified the issue right away. Once he confirmed the issue he went out and got the part and had us fixed up in no time. This review doesn’t really do justice to the high level of knowledge, professionalism and courtesy we received from Jose and Schmidt Mechanical group. To sum it all up, I highly recommend their services and will continue to speak highly of them.

I had to have two 18-year old hot water heaters replaced. Both were in the attic...one was only accessible through a 24" x 24" scuttle hole in the top of a closet. After a pre-work site survey by Sam Sr and Ray, we developed a plan of attack for the one with the difficult access, and Sam Sr, Anthony, and Jacob (HVAC) arrived promptly the next morning to begin work. I fully expected this to be a two-day job...that the difficulty of the install would mean one whole day for the first one to be complete. They had the first one finished in about 3 hours, and the entire job and cleanup was complete by 3:30 in the afternoon. I was AMAZED! Through the entire job, Sam Sr and Anthony were courteous, professional and considerate of my home...I finally had to tell Anthony to lose the shoe protectors! They did a complete and thorough job...from new drain pans to new flex tubing and shutoff valves...gave good instruction on new components (leak alarm), and thoroughly explained the warranty coverage. For the money (which was significant), I think I got the best VALUE possible for this type of work. Radiant will be my go-to for plumbing and air conditioning work going forward!

Follow up: HVAC check up by Chris...fast, friendly and efficient. Performed an inspection of my HVAC systems and provided status and recommendations for repairs...including pictures and video! Very professional!!

Update: In the past year I have returned again and again to Radiant for plumbing and HVAC service. Today they pulled off the miracle of installing an entire duct system while my husband was at work. Thank you to Jacob, Jose, and two other awesome dudes who descended on my house, worked miracles and vanished without a trace. I love how Radiant arrives on time and cleans up thoroughly upon departure. I really don’t plan on using any other company for plumbing and HVAC. I recommend them extremely highly.

I have so many good things to say about Jake Schmidt. Our old house came with a bizarre solar powered water heater, as well as a troll of a plumber to maintain it. A concatenation of circumstances led me to ask for help from Radiant and Jake arrived at the exact same time as this other guy. Jake was very diplomatic and supportive. When it came time to choose a new hot water heater, Jake put together 5 unique estimates and called to review them with me. He was exactly on time for the install and he went to it with efficiency and focus. He cleaned up after, which I greatly appreciated. I am confident that my small but significant house improvement was the best choice done by the best service provider. I highly recommend Jake and if he likes Radiant, I like Radiant, too.

Excellence all the way around! 1. Great communications...I received several emails reminding of the date and time of the appointment & received an email on the day of service with the technicians name, picture, and background to include his family (number of kids, grand kids, etc.). Schmidt also called me (Autumn was her name and she was great!) to let me know the technician was on his way to my house. 2. Outstanding service...Jose was the technician and I've never had better service than what he provided. He kept me informed on what he was doing, what was malfunctioning as well as what he had to replace. A total professional! If you get Jose, you're in good hands! 3. No pressure, no trying to "up sell" me...Jose explained the companies membership/periodic maintenance programs thoroughly along with some recommended upgrades (e.g., circuit breaker box surge protector) as well as the costs associated with the different levels. I felt well informed but not uncomfortable with all of this information.

Called Radiant this morning because my water heater went out and first off, the person I spoke to was very friendly and professional. Was told Monday was the soonest they'd be able to make it so I booked but also let them know I'd be calling around to see if anyone would be able to make it today - no problem, and they put me on their "urgent" list. Got a call at 1 that they could be here in half an hour. David and Cooper arrived right on time - also very personable and professional - took a look at the situation and gave me multiple options on how to handle it with ZERO pressure to take the most expensive route. Ended up changing out the water heater right then while I went back to work, let me know what to expect, and followed up after they were done as promised. Great experience overall with Radiant - thank you!

We had our compressor seize up this summer and was looking at having to replace a whole AC unit in this triple digit heat. I was looking at a couple of bids but settled on Schmidt on the recommendation of one of my friends in the neighborhood who also had his AC replaced by them. Jared was great listening to our concerns and was the only one who addressed an issue about our master bedroom being warmer in summer and cooler in winter due to the fact we had no return exchange in the room. They were able to install the AC and put in an exchange the very next day! The crew replaced the old unit professionally and were fast. Took them maybe 4 hours to put in. I could not be happier with the install! Plus the maintenance and service calls are so much more affordable than the last company I had used for the last 10 years.

Jose Aranda was the technician who came out to diagnose why our unit was making a strange humming noise. He was incredibly friendly, polite and informative when providing the different options available to us (our A/C unit was 20 years old). We decided that replacing our A/C unit was our best option. Jose was able to call and make an appointment on our behalf for someone to provide us an estimate for a new unit.

Jared Jaroski was able to come out the same day to give us several different options. Just like Jose, he was very friendly and informative. Once we chose the unit we wanted, Jared scheduled our A/C install date for the following week.

Juan and Alan were the install techs. They arrived on time and worked efficiently to install our new unit. Once the unit was installed, they took the time to pair our phones to our wi-fi enabled thermostat panel.

A day after our A/C unit installed, we noticed that the A/C was not cooling our home. We contacted Schmidt Mechanical to inform them of the issue. They were able to send out a tech the same day.

Jose Aranda came out to our home once again and identified that the issue was with our breaker. He was able to quickly fix the issue for us.

Overall, we are very happy with the service provided by Schmidt Mechanical and will continue to use them for future A/C needs.

I am recommending this company to all of my friends and neighbors! They sent me a picture and bio of the technician (Eric) that would be showing up so I could verify it was the right person. Eric was on time, was respectful of my house and wore footies over his shoes, was honest and didn't try to up-sell me anything like the company that came out previously. He explained everything he did, answered all questions, sent me a printout of the tests run on my ac units and the results. Told me I did not need all the things done or replaced that the sketchy company told me I needed just a couple of days before (which I didn't believe anyway but it was nice to have it confirmed). Their $49 checkup included a service the other company tried to sell me for $189, in addition to all the other stuff they did. Very happy with quick response, pricing, and service. Will use again.

Marcelle and his partner, Alex did a wonderful job installing my tankless water heater! The only complaint I have about the experience falls on me, I waited until my water heater exploded and caused water damage until I had them out to do the job. Apparently, I am a hard learn, as this same thing happened with the first water heater two years earlier. If I had followed Marcelle’s advice and had them both done at the same time, I would not be dealing with water restoration and dry wall repair 😕.
I had to get this done in two days, as I was leaving town again and they were able to do it on such short notice. I am very happy with the end product. I now have more room in my utility closet, dumping (2) 100 gallon tank water heaters for (2) energy efficient wall mounted tankless units. Not to mention the peace of mind in never having to worry about another water damage scenario . I would highly recommend Radiant plumbing and Marcelle / Alex for your water heater needs.

Travis and David were the plumbers who installed the new filtration and water conditioning system for our home. They removed our old system prior to this installation and took all of that with them and cleaned up everything when they were finished. They worked very well with each other and kept me informed of the work they were doing and answered any questions that I would come up with. Travis and David were extremely polite and courteous and respectful of our property. They are excellent examples of the kind of company that Radiant Plumbing and Air Conditioning are known for. I would highly recommend this company and their employees for anyone needing plumbing our air-conditioning service. Radiant also installed our complete air conditioning system in our home and we are saving a lot of money because of the efficiency of their systems and the work of their installers. Five star company and employees!!!

Our Air went out on a Saturday evening and I used the online chat to ask Radiant a few questions and they were able to have someone contact me first thing Monday morning.

Amazingly, they were able to send Roy out to our place ASAP. Roy was on time, friendly and thorough. He did have to give us the news that was happy to attempt to patch work our our 35 year old system, but in all reality, it had seen its final day. He was able to make a call and have a tech (sorry, forgot his name) and his HVAC Service Manager Woody, come out and measure up the place for a new unit. They arrived in 30 minutes!

After listening to all of my concerns, Woody was able to recommend the best combination of products to get everything up and running. I was able to get approved for a financing plan and create to the job order right then and there.

Oh, did I mention we were going on vacation in three days? NO PROBLEM! Woody was able to work some magic and got us on the books for that Wednesday.

It’s now Wednesday and here comes Rene and Arturo with the new unit right on time. Both of them were very nice and super professional. They knocked out the new HAVC system ahead of schedule. I could t have been more pleased with their work. They also cleaned up after them selves, including sweeping up the parking area! A lot of other service techs wouldn’t have done that. Again, thorough.

If you have any AC needs, especially in this Texas heat, call Radient first. I’m happy I did.

Started off very strong in my book. We were given an estimated arrival time of 45 minutes which was honored.

Christopher Rios was sent and absolutely identified the issue, preformed a quick repair, and ran down diagnosis on our unit in a very short time.

The house was heating a degree an hour by the time he got there. After about 30 minutes, it began to work and was instantly better.

He performed quick, very friendly, and professional the entire time.

I personally am not very knowledgeable in A/C maintenance and repair but his work and interaction put me at ease about the potential stress.

I highly recommend him and thank the company for sending in someone who represent your business.

That being said, even know I enjoyed his service, I hope to not see him again soon. Not because of him, because not having A/C in Texas is just not my idea of a good time. 😀

We always call Radiant for any of our plumbing needs. Their service is top notch any time we need them.

We had a leak on our main waterline and were attempting to remove poorly installed water softener loop. Discovered we have a really poorly install main water line that runs to our main cutoff.

Samuel was great to work with. After he saw what we had going on he gave me several options to repair or correct the problems. After we decided on our best option we needed to reschedule for the next day so they had the correct materials ( I prefer this because I know they come prepared). Sam returned the next day earlier than I expected and with Kyle to help get the work completed quickly. Now we have the peace of mind that what is buried in our front yard was done right!

Couldn’t be happier with the work and repair. We will Continue to use Radiant for any of our plumbing needs!

We moved into our first home a few months ago, not knowing the home was sitting on very old cast iron pipes. Much to our surprise, the pipes failed and we were completely upset and frustrated. We went ahead and got inspections and bids from multiple plumbers, which made us confused and unsure who to trust, but there was something about Radiant that made us feel comfortable. We just felt that the job would be done right for the price we settled on. And, that's exactly how it went! Tim at Radiant is outstanding. He managed the entire process from the dig crew, to the actual fixing of the pipes and replacing them with PVC, through the end to the back fill. He updated us daily via text/call and came by every day to make sure things were going smoothly. He seriously went above and beyond to provide the upmost service. We can't thank Tim and his team enough. They are highly knowledgable, professional, and we felt like we were in the best hands. He certainly made us Radiant customers and we will continue to use Radiant for all of our home needs. Thanks, Tim!

Additionally, we've signed up for the maintenance plan and that's been great too! Chris Rios has come by twice this past year to check out our AC unit and make sure that all is good. Radiant called me to schedule a complimentary system check and knowing that I would be home, I agreed and scheduled it. That morning, Daniel Moreno arrived exactly at the time they said he would arrive, on the dot. He had also been informed that I would be on a very important meeting call for work so when I answered the door with my phone in hand, he gestured me to focus on my call and he would handle the rest. As soon as I was off my call I was able to meet with him. He was great. Told me exactly what needed to happen to keep my system working nicely. He didn’t try to up-sale and he was honest (so refreshing). I asked him questions about issues that we’ve been having and again, told me what I needed without trying to con me into doing expensive work. Very nice guy. So refreshing to have someone like him come to the house. Thanks Daniel.

I originally called another big plumbing company when we discovered a leak coming from inside a wall. They sent out 3 different plumbers over 3 days and charged me $500 to tell me they couldn't fix it until I called another company to locate the leak. The leak detection company couldn't come out for another 10 days. Radiant was able to come the day we called and get started on fixing it. The technicians, JR and Zack were on time, friendly and professional. Since our leak required a new line to be put in, JR put in a temporary line so we could use our water until they came the next day to install a new line. Their price was a little below the other big company and we didn't have to wait 2 weeks for water. If you have a leaky faucet or something that can wait on a smaller plumbing company it might be worth it to shop around and wait for them to have an opening but if it's something that can't wait, these are the people to call. I was very pleased with their service, knowledge and upfront about prices and options. Even the person answering the phone was helpful, upfront and knowledge.

We've used Radiant twice & they have been fantastic both times.

Today JR came out & serviced both our tankless water heater and water softener. He was super nice, asked lots of questions, was very informative and seemed genuinely interested what was going on in our lives. We could not have asked for better service today. We can be high maintenance customers sometimes and JR was extremely calm, patient and informative. He was awesome. He even broke down how tankless heaters work and explained exactly what he did and why.

Back in July, Tim and Mickey came out to install the water softener & whole house filtration system. They also provided excellent service. Tim was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. He was very versed with the ins & outs of the system. He answered every curveball that we threw at him, which is very reassuring since that was a large investment. Mickey was shadowing/studying/assisting Tim with the install and in our observations we can tell that he's going to be a valuable, expert technician once he is done with his apprenticeship.

Tim also did something that no other technicians from other companies have ever done...when he went on his lunch break, he offered to pick us up something. That was a huge customer service checkmark for him. It's little touches like that that make Radiant great.

I recently had my entire AC system fail (this was mid-August) and needed advice/guidance quickly. Radiant had a very structured process. Chris Rios was first on the scene. Chris was great: he gave me several options to choose from. Although he offered to try and repair my 20 year old system, it was clear that the entire system needed to be replaced. He immediately made a phone call and within an hour Woody showed up. Woody assessed the home and sat down with us to review multiple options. Woody was very knowledgeable and patient. After we selected our desired system the installation was scheduled. On installation day, Rene and Arturo were professional from start to finish. They accidentally dinged part of my wall. Before they called to tell me, they already had a handy man onsite and the problem was fixed. They wanted to let me know even though after repair the damage was not even noticeable. It is a significant investment when replacing an entire heating/cooling system, and I would highly recommend Radiant!

Last weekend I noticed water along the wall in my garage. I quickly figured out the source was a leak associated with the hose bib on the exterior of the garage. No problem, I'll just open up the wall from the inside and patch the copper line myself... right? NOPE. Opened up the wall and found the water was coming up around the pipe from under the slab. This is a bigger job than I can handle so I called Radiant. JR and Jason showed up first thing Monday morning. BOTH JR and Jason are courteous, professional, and most importantly... very honest. The scope of the work was explained to me before I signed off on it. The plumbing to my house was kind of goofy and not what was expected, but Jason and JR figured out the problem and got everything sorted out. I hope I don't need a plumber again for a long time, but when the time comes I will call Radiant and ask for JR or Jason. Thanks y'all.

My wife and I returned from a five-day trip to find our air conditioner out in our main living areas. The cumulative effect of days without cooling and outside temperatures near 100 degrees was stifling. I contacted my home warranty company and they put us in touch with Schmidt Mechanical Group, an organization I had never heard of before. The following day, well ahead of the time our warranty folks had told us to expect a call, we heard from the dispatch folks at Schmidt. They scheduled us for the next afternoon, the earliest they could send a technician. Forty-five minutes before the appointment, we got a call from that technician, Eric, telling us he was on his way. He arrived on time, in a neat uniform, and ready to go to work immediately. He checked the inside thermostat and the outside cooling unit, determined the likely cause of failure, replaced the part, and then ran water from our hose over the overheated portion of the outside unit while giving my wife and me a brief recap of what he had done. Eric was on-time and on-course with restoring my family's comfort. After hearing air conditioning repair horror stories from others in the vicinity, I was delighted that Eric professionally completed the repair and made no attempt to upsell us on parts or a new unit. When the time comes when we do require a new unit, I will remember that. Bottom line, our experience with the Schmidt Mechanical Group was first rate from the time they made initial contact through the completion of the necessary repairs. Definitely a thumbs up.

Contacted Radiant because our hot water heater was leaking and it was time for a replacement. Even though this happened on a Saturday morning, Tory came after another call and was magnificent. He's set the bar so high for plumbers that I cannot see myself ever using anyone else. We ended up not only installing a new hot water heater, but added in a hot water circulation pump system so that there is now instant hot water throughout the house, added a new whole house softening system and water filtration unit, and reworked the loop for conditioning which went from an embarrassingly sloppy job to something that looks fantastic - the view is so much better when we pull into our garage. If we didn't feel so great about Tory - we probably would have just gone with installing the new Hot Water Heater and be done with it. But now the pipes entering and exiting the home looks professional and nice. I couldn't be happier!
