Seguin plumbersPlumbing and HVAC That Respects an Older House
Seguin has some of the oldest housing stock in our service area and some of the newest. Radiant’s licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians know the difference, and you approve the price before we start.
Seguin is the Guadalupe County seat, an old river town on the Guadalupe with a courthouse square, pecan orchards and a downtown full of houses that predate central air. Many of those homes are pier-and-beam with plumbing that has been patched by several generations of owners and ductwork that was added long after the house was built. Out toward I-10, newer subdivisions have brought slab foundations and modern equipment, but they sit on the same blackland clay and use the same hard water.
Radiant has served the San Antonio area since 1999, and Seguin is part of our regular territory, not an occasional long drive. The calls we take from here most often are air conditioners struggling in houses that were never designed for them, water heaters scaled up by mineral-heavy water, cast iron drains that have finally rusted through, and gas lines and fixtures in older homes that need a licensed hand rather than another patch.
Our technicians are licensed, background-checked, trained and bonded. You get a plain explanation of what is wrong, a written price before any work, and no surprise fees whether it is a Tuesday or a holiday weekend. When a repair is the right answer, we make it. When the equipment is done, we show you the replacement options and financing without pressure. Every job is backed by the Home Comfort Guarantee.
From a crawlspace leak to a full system replacement, one licensed team covers it.

Seguin plumbersOlder homes with retrofit systems and new homes with builder-grade units both fail in the heat. We diagnose and quote before repairing.
Repair my ACScale, sediment and rusted tanks. We flush and repair what can be saved and give you a straight answer on what cannot.
Water heater serviceCast iron drains in older Seguin homes scale and rot. We clear the stoppage and camera the line so you know what is really there.
Clear the drainFurnaces and heat pumps checked and repaired before the first freeze, with a safety inspection on every gas furnace we touch.
Heating serviceMineral-heavy water shortens the life of everything it touches. A softener protects the heater, fixtures and appliances.
Softener optionsReplacing a system in an older house means sizing for the actual insulation and windows, not a chart. We do it properly.

Pier-and-beam and crawlspaces. Many homes near downtown, the courthouse square and the older streets around Texas Lutheran sit on piers rather than slabs. That is good news for plumbing access, but the crawlspace also hides decades of galvanized, copper and PEX spliced together, and drain lines that sag as the piers settle. A plumbing inspection under the house is the fastest way to know where you stand.
Air conditioning added later. Houses built before central air got their ductwork in an attic or crawlspace years afterward, often undersized and never sealed. When a Seguin AC cannot keep up, the ducts are as likely to be the cause as the unit. We measure airflow before recommending equipment.
Clay under the new builds. The subdivisions along I-10 and the edges of town are slab homes on blackland clay that swells and shrinks with the weather. Slab leaks and cracked sewer lines are the usual result; catching them early with leak detection is far cheaper than a flooded floor.
Hard water. Scale builds on water heaters, tankless exchangers and fixtures across Guadalupe County. A softener and an annual heater flush extend the life of all of it.
Gas appliances. Older Seguin homes often have gas water heaters, furnaces and ranges on lines that have been extended over the years. Licensed gas line work and a pressure test are the safe approach, not a hardware-store fitting.
Freezes. Crawlspace pipes and exposed lines froze all over Seguin in February 2021. Insulation and a clearly marked shutoff are cheap protection.
Seguin is part of our regular San Antonio service area, reached along I-10 and the FM 78 corridor.
Save on the work your home needs most.
It changes the access, and usually for the better. On a slab home, a leaking water line means cutting concrete; under a pier-and-beam house, we can often get to the pipe from the crawlspace without opening a wall or floor. The trade-offs are that crawlspace plumbing is exposed to freezes, drain lines can sag as the house settles, and older homes often have three different pipe materials joined together. Our plumbers inspect the whole run, not just the drip you noticed, and quote the repair before starting. If a repipe is the honest answer, a crawlspace makes that job far less disruptive too.
Yes. Our plumbers are licensed for gas work, and a lot of Seguin homes rely on it: gas water heaters, furnaces and ranges, often on lines that have been extended and re-routed over decades. We repair and replace gas water heaters, run and pressure-test gas lines for new appliances, and fix leaks properly. If you ever smell gas, leave the house and call the utility first; then call us for the repair. For routine work, you get the same upfront quote and licensed technician as any other visit.
Spring, before the first week of 95-degree days. That is when a tune-up finds a weak capacitor, a low refrigerant charge or a clogged drain line while it is still a scheduled repair instead of a no-cool call in July. In an older Seguin home, we also look at the ductwork, because a leaking retrofit duct system wastes a large share of what the unit produces. If you would rather not think about timing, Care Club handles it: two HVAC tune-ups a year on an enrolled system, an annual plumbing safety inspection, priority service and no dispatch fees for $9.99 a month.
Seguin is part of our everyday San Antonio territory. Our technicians work the I-10 and FM 78 corridors regularly, so scheduling a visit here is the same process as anywhere else we serve, with 24/7 availability and the same upfront pricing. We will give you a scheduled window, and if it is an emergency, we treat it as one. There is no distance surcharge hidden in the quote; the price we give you before work starts is the price, and it is honored for 72 hours.
