AC repair in Round RockRound Rock Homes Have Trusted Radiant Since 1999
From the older neighborhoods along Brushy Creek to the subdivisions still going up east of I-35, Radiant’s licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians and electricians have covered Round Rock for more than 25 years.
Round Rock is the largest suburb north of Austin and one of the most varied. The neighborhoods around downtown and Brushy Creek date from the 1970s and 1980s. The 1990s and early 2000s added the big subdivisions along I-35 and toward Old Settlers Park, the ones with the round-topped attics and two systems apiece. Since then, growth has jumped east across SH 130 and north toward Georgetown, with new slab homes on open prairie.
Radiant has worked in Round Rock since the company started in 1999, and the calls follow the housing. Older homes near downtown bring galvanized water lines, cast iron drains and original gas water heaters. The 1990s subdivisions bring slab leaks, worn-out first-round replacements and attic furnaces at the end of their lives. The newest homes bring electrical panels being asked to carry EV chargers and home offices. Hard water and 100-degree summers are the constant across all of it.
Every visit is a licensed, background-checked technician, a plain-language diagnosis and a written price before any work begins. That quote is honored for 72 hours, weekend and holiday calls cost the same as a weekday, and if a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we say so. The Home Comfort Guarantee covers all of it.
Cooling, heating, plumbing, drains, water quality and electrical, from one team, around the clock.

Three generations of houses. A 1970s home near Brushy Creek, a 1996 two-story off I-35 and a 2022 build east of SH 130 fail in completely different ways. Old galvanized and cast iron in the first, slab leaks and worn first-generation equipment in the second, overloaded panels and builder shortcuts in the third. We start by asking when the house was built.
Clay to the east, rock to the west. Round Rock straddles the line between Blackland clay and the limestone that gives the city its name. Clay heaves slabs and breaks sewer joints; rock keeps slabs still but makes digging slow. A camera inspection or precise leak location tells us what we are dealing with before anyone opens the ground.
Hard water. Scale on water heaters, tankless exchangers and fixtures is the norm across Williamson County. An annual flush and a softener are the two cheapest ways to protect expensive equipment.
Hot attics and aging furnaces. Most of Round Rock’s equipment lives in an attic that passes 130 degrees in summer. That ages air handlers, ductwork and furnaces faster than a garage or closet install would.
Electrical growth. Homes wired for 1990s loads now carry EV chargers, hot tubs and offices. Our electricians assess panel capacity before adding a circuit.
Freezes. Attic water heaters, hose bibs and exposed lines on the north wall froze across Round Rock in February 2021. Insulate before the front arrives.
Round Rock is part of Radiant’s everyday Austin-area service territory, along with Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Hutto and Georgetown.
Save on the work your home needs most.
When the camera says so, not on age alone. Cast iron lasts a long time, but after fifty years the inside surface gets rough and scaled, which catches grease and paper and causes repeat clogs, and eventually the bottom of the pipe rusts through. We run a camera through the line to see the actual condition. If it is rough but intact, hydro-jetting and a maintenance schedule may buy years. If it has channeled or cracked, we quote a replacement or a trenchless liner in writing. Repeated slow drains in a home that age are a reason to look, not a reason to panic.
We can schedule all three, though they may be separate technicians because each trade is separately licensed. Many Round Rock homeowners book us for a water heater replacement and ask us to look at a tripping breaker and a weak AC on the same day, and we coordinate that through one office rather than three companies. Each technician gives you a written price for their work before starting, and the pricing does not change if the visit lands on a weekend. Care Club members get the plumbing inspection and two HVAC tune-ups each year, which is the easiest way to keep the whole house looked at. Details are on the Care Club page.
It can be, but it should be inspected every fall. A gas furnace that has spent nearly thirty summers in a 130-degree attic has a heat exchanger that has expanded and contracted thousands of times, and a cracked exchanger can let combustion gases into the air stream. Our technicians check the exchanger, the burners, the flame sensor and the venting during a furnace tune-up, and we tell you plainly what we find. If it passes, you keep running it. If it does not, we quote the repair and a replacement side by side; many Round Rock homeowners take the chance to switch to a heat pump at that point.
Three things. First, the water heater and the softener loop: hard water starts scaling on day one, and a softener installed early protects every appliance downstream. Second, the AC installation: builder systems are sometimes charged or ducted in a hurry, and a proper tune-up in the first summer catches a low charge or a leaky duct while the builder warranty still applies. Third, the electrical panel: confirm there is capacity for the EV charger, hot tub or shop you are planning before you buy them. A single plumbing inspection and tune-up visit covers most of this, and everything we find comes with a written price and no obligation.
