Questions About Working at Radiant
Do I need to be licensed already to apply?
Not for every role. We hire licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians and, in Austin, electricians, and we also bring on apprentices and helpers who want to earn their hours with a company that will train them. Tell us where you are in your career and we will be straight about what is open.
How does the on-call schedule work?
We are available to customers 24/7, so someone is on call. But after hours we only run true emergencies for existing customers. Everything else gets booked for the next day. That keeps on-call limited and predictable rather than a second shift.
What tools and equipment do I need to bring?
Your hand tools. The company provides an iPad, an iPhone, uniforms and the rest of the tools you need to do the job.
Is there training, or am I expected to arrive knowing everything?
There is real training. We run professional and personal development in-house, and we send people to training events around the country. Keeping technicians current is cheaper than replacing them, and it is better for the customers.
