Video Detection Most Preferred Method to Find Your Leak
Knowing that you have a leak somewhere in your home should be enough for you to call in a plumber as soon as possible. They can be damaging if left alone for long periods of time.
Because many fixtures are hidden throughout the home, it can be difficult to find exactly where the leak is coming from. Don’t go on a hunt to find the location – that’s our job. The longer you wait to call us, the more damage a leak can cause.
We have top-of-the-line leak detection equipment that allows us to see inside of your pipes and find the leak, all while keeping your foundation, walls, and home in good condition. There won’t be any type of excavation to your property during our detection because well, we just don’t see a need for it.
Radiant Plumbing’s Leak Detection Methods
- Video detection: Simple and straightforward, this technique gives us a clear picture of your pipeline so we can recognize and understand the problems, and determine the best course of action for repair. We will use this method whenever possible.
- Infrared detection: This method uses temperature to find leaks. The different temperatures projected by the scan we perform tell our plumbers where the leak is, and where erosion voids are forming. It can reach up to 30 meters below the ground surface, so no matter where the leak is we’ll find it!
- Ultrasonic detection: Also known as acoustic emission detection, you may be surprised to know this method uses sound to find leaks. Escaping liquids create an acoustic signal as they pass through holes in your pipes. Our team can recognize and understand those sounds to appropriately locate the leak.
- Smoke detection: Our last resort method is used only if the above ones fail. If it comes to this, we will pump harmless smoke into your pipes and watch to see where it escapes.
Our methods are tried-and-true and we promise that we won’t leave until we find your leak! Once we find it, we’ll repair it on the spot with your approval. Call Radiant Plumbing today!
