According to a World Health Organization report, around 785 million people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water — that’s nearly 10% of the world’s population and more than twice the population of the United States of America. This stunning statistic touched the Radiant Plumbing and Air team deeply. So when we were approached by charity: water, we could not wait to get involved. charity: water is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide clean drinking water to underserved communities in developing countries. Their relentless pursuit to address the global water crisis is as inspiring as it is galvanizing. As of 2021, they’ve funded 59,608 water projects and served 11,664,962 individuals in 29 countries around the globe.
In collaboration with charity: water, we’ve developed a mutually-beneficial fundraising strategy that allows us to contribute to various water projects on an ongoing basis. Here’s how it works: as Radiant Plumbing and Air reaches revenue benchmarks, a percentage of our earnings is allocated for the funding of a particular project.

Well With A Hand Pump
Communities with sufficient groundwater can take full advantage of a well. The groundwater is accessed through a borehole which is reinforced to ensure it doesn’t collapse. The borehole’s ability to retrieve uncontaminated water is then tested and it is disinfected if needed. Lastly a pump is attached to allow the community to access clean water via their new well.
BioSand Filters
A BioSand Filter (BSF) is a sophisticated water treatment filtration system which removes harmful pathogens, heavy metals and turbidity to produce clean drinking water. The BSF is fitted with a spout at the bottom to allow for easy access.
Water Point & Sanitation Facility
This solution focuses specifically on children and aims to provide a safe and healthy school environment. Handwashing facilities with soap are installed as well as latrines which safely contain waste.
