Radiant Plumbing Comes to the Rescue of Austin Pets Alive!
When Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning heard that Austin Pets Alive! was struggling to keep their dogs warm because their central heating system was not working, we rushed to the scene as soon as we could to offer our services to them free of charge.
Founded back in 1997, APA! is a nonprofit animal shelter that uses innovative programs to save more than 6,000 animals from euthanasia annually, helping keep Austin no-kill since 2011.
Faith Wright, operations manager at Austin Pets Alive, said that it would cost the nonprofit $10,000 to fix their heating system. To combat this, APA! were forced to use propane space heaters in order to keep all of their animals warm. Not only that, but they had to keep them confined to inner portions of the kennel. That’s when Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning knew that they had to lend them a hand.
“I’m just so ecstatic that my dogs are gonna have nice, warm beds tonight,” Wright told KXAN. “It’s been really tough on everybody. I myself spent the night here last year making sure we had space heaters running.”
