Radiant Plumbing and Air Conditioning moved into the historic 2908 San Gabriel location in 2007. When Brad saw the north facing window, he was inspired to put something plumbing related in it. He hoped it would help market their services. As luck would have it, there happened to be a toilet handy. So Brad tossed the toilet in the window, and went for a drive to take a look from the street.
“There was something terribly wrong, and out of place seeing that toilet in the window like that. I decided in that moment that the there would always be a toilet in the window.” A few months later, Brad threw a scarf around the base of the toilet, and all of a sudden, the toilet became a character, and it has been ever since. “When I officed out of that location daily, I use to change it about every four weeks. After 7 or so years of window displays with ZERO repeats, my brain sort of broke on window display ideas. They tend to only get changed out every 2 months or so, but we still love our part in keeping Austin a little bit weird.”
After years of designing countless toilet window displays at San Gabriel, Brad and the Radiant team are asking the greater Austin area to submit their own designs! Don’t miss your chance to win $100! Contest submissions are accepted year-round! Submit Yours Today!
