You don't have to live in a mud hut to be eco-friendly.

Consistently making smarter choices—even small ones—ads up to a big difference both for you and the environment. Austin can get pretty thirsty—so conserving water is important.

HERE'S HOW WE CAN HELP YOU DO THAT:

  1. Fixing leaking faucets, shower heads, outdoor spigots, etc. Believe it or not, a leaking faucet that has one drip per second wastes 2,083 gallons of water a year. We can fix your existing leaks while out performing another job, or we can replace your leaky fixture with a low flow faucet, showerhead, etc.
  2. Installing low-flow faucets and shower heads. They’ve gotten a lot better than what you might remember. You can’t even feel the difference on most of them, in fact, and they can save about 1/3rd of the water you would normally have used.
  3. Replacing your old water heater with a solar water heater. We’re one of the only plumbers in Austin certified to install these and they can make a huge difference in your energy bill. Plus, with both Federal and Austin Tax Credits, they cost the same as many tankless heaters. You’ll be surprised how quickly they’ll pay for themselves.
  4. Installing a water-conserving toilet. They don’t have to sound like a jet engine or have an anemic flush. Today’s water conserving toilets come in all designer looks, flush everything a normal toilet does, and save you 4,732-29,484 gallons per year (based on a family of 4).

Granted, most of us probably aren’t in the market to replace perfectly functional plumbing fixtures solely for the purpose of water conservation. But when you already have to have plumbing work done, why not fix the leaks while you’re at it?

And when you already have to replace a faucet, water-heater, or toilet, it makes a lot of financial and environmental sense to upgrade to a greener solution. We can help you work through the rebates you’re entitled to, and to help you sort through your options in terms of manufacturers, technologies, and more.
