Avoid Flood Disaster

Leak detection

 When good plumbing turns bad

I am sure you have heard the stories. Your friends pull into their driveway, tired, but with the warm inner glow left over from a few days down at the coast. When to their surprise they see a stream of water rolling down the driveway.

Maybe this has happened to you. I hope not, but I am always surprised to hear how many of our customers, and friends have come home to a water disaster. The destruction that a water leak can cause in a short amount of time is staggering.

Fire alarms, co2 alarms, burgler alarms. All these things have been created to protect our families and our property. Plumbers are not the types to be left out when it comes to new technology that will help our customers.

We have installed two types of leak detection systems here in Austin. Flood Stopper, and Water Cop. These systems will detect water and send a signal back to a valve that will shut a valve to the water supply line. You can have the peace of mind that when something goes wrong, the water will be shut down.

Here in Austin, the plumbing that seems to cause the most destructive problems are: water heaters, toilets, and washing machines. Everything that has water in it is a possible leak. These are the ones that usually go out in style. One thing to remember is that even if water is not gushing out on your floor, a small leak over time can be more destructive. (You might have your children close their eyes.)

MOLD

I rarely use this dirty four-letter word, and I am sorry if I shocked you. The costs involved with remediation will blow your mind. Those little unseen leaks that drip for a year or so are the worst.

Leak detection devices can save you from all these issues. Give us a call, and we will send a plumber out to your home to help you decide what system might be right for you.

Guys, you've got the coolest plumbing site I've seen. Not that I've seen many, but still. And your video. I think you are more hot then Apple. Seriously.
